Your Path to Emotional Healing Awaits!

Getting Back to Us: Restoring the Human Support System

Many of the issues that our children and grandchildren face were never issues for us because we were raised differently.  They were raised in an environment that lacked exposure to some of the important things we learned.

  • Our children don't prioritize taking care of themselves.
  • Our children never learned to value hard work in order to achieve their goals.
  • They live their lives on social media, but never learned to control the exposure or the narrative.
  • Our kids were not forced to look out for the vulnerable members in the neighborhood.
  • You're unsure why your kids are struggling to live independently.

This book helps you understand your adult children better. It will provide you with information and tools to guide your family's younger generations, utilizing traditional values and parenting techniques. This book highlights the parenting methods that best prepared Baby Boomers and Generation X-ers for growing up, dealing with disappointment, and developing resilience when things don't go as expected. It's a Call to Action to help our young adults, while teaching them how to respect and care for others (including you).

Book Reviews

V. Patrick

This book is phenomenal!

It is so full of good information. I like how it was very transparent and flows back and forth from the Author’s personal life experiences to lessons in the book. I liked how a lot of older women in my age bracket live by “what goes on in the house, stays in the house.” That hit me a certain way. When she talked about Bipolar and ADHD was very personal. Even as adults, a lot of adults are suffering from Bipolar and ADHD; and it turns to substance abuse, mood swings and emotional. When they try to have relationships without getting those things addressed, it makes so much sense on why those relationships won’t work without the primary person addressing their issues. The part of the book that speaks to how parents try to be their childrens’ friends, instead of using real parenting skills to teach their kids manners and spending quality time with them. The part that speaks of teaching our young adults how to be better adults. The book really hit home as I looked around and saw living examples of what was referenced in the book. I would recommend the book to everyone! There is a LOT of valuable information for modern day parents, teenagers, and young adults alike.

Very Informative

Getting Back to Us discusses distinct characteristics and attitudes associated with different generations in society. This information is great for better understanding relationship dynamics in families, workplaces, and beyond. I encourage others to order this book, especially those who enjoy "self help" reading.

Very Insightful Read! Highly suggested.

The Author’s way with words give you a very clear understanding of some of the issues we are facing in today’s society! Very readable, and easy to understand her talking points. Highly suggested read!

The Children

I liked that she pointed out each generation of our kids. How to communicate and get back to spending time with them.

Loved it!

I never knew I needed to read this book until I did. I loved the attention to detail on certain aspects of life and I highly recommend it!
